The play booster box contains:
- 36 packs with 14 cards/pack
- Each Play Booster contains 1–5 cards with rarity Rare or higher, with a chance for a special Borderless Mythic Rare card from Magic’s history
- Each Play Booster contains 1 shining Traditional Foil card from any rarity, in 20% of packs there is a Traditional Foil Land card (which may be a Full-Art Western Landscape!)
- Now, only in Play Boosters, some packs also contain an Art Card with art from the Outlaws of Thunder Junction set, some of them with foil signature by the artist.
